Im running my phosban reactor i have half and half brs phosban, carbon rox 0.8 i took a video to show flow i got a maxi jet 900 running at full flow the phosban doesnt seem to be leaving the bottom as much as carbon is it about right?

Here is a video sorry for quality

Carbon isn't supposed to tumble=bad
GFO should look like the top is percolating

U need to have separate reactors, just get the brs dual....and a maxi jet won't do it...

I was going off instructions that said i could mix gfo/carbon said around 2-300 gph was ok. The gfo is tumbling its just staying at bottom of reactor

Sorry, briefly

Carbon should be immobile, and carbon fines has shown to cause HLLe in certain fish like tangs....it also needs a different flow, however I found that to be a non issue if GFO was first and ROX second.

GFO only works if it slightly tumbles constantly which is hard enough on its own....how can u tell if the top portion is tumbling? And carbon only works if water is pushed through it?

That's the quick answer! Sorry

Understood i can clearly see the top half of it spinning. I will add the second reactor asap,

I've been doing a lot of reading on the topic, however first hand experience is some limited to a container of phosban sitting on the counter and a whole bunch of unglued plumbing parts ;D.

Some sources say to run first to the phosban then to carbon reactor so that any fines are contained. I chose to make a manifold to each reactor and a ball lock on each to control flow then discharge to my filter sock.
