Questions about reef tank

Just so you dont get riped off i just priced to set up a nice 150 non costom tank. first cost $3000 that should cover tank, stand, sump and skimmer. Depending on the coral you hope to keep your lighting may be enywhere from $250-$2000 maby not this much for lights but i have seen setups past this. Your looking at another 1k for the automation computer. salt 60-100 to fill tank depening on brand. Live rock is $4-$6 a pownd you will need somthing like 250 to 300 pownds, another 50-80 pownds of sand at 15-20 for 40lb

50 is a bit much if you want access without too much headache. Consider 40
If you are keeping the fish look at a nice long tank for those guys.

talk to the person that's taking care of your current tank... (i think you said you've got someone doing service on it)

they should know enough about you (by the shape of the tank between their visits) and your goals to help you put everything together.... I would think they could even help you procure some of the equipment..

look in the ForSale section of this forum, I believe there are several people selling 120G+ tanks WITH equipment (some of them with livestock)
