Random pic of the day thread

An Engineer, a Blenny and a Dragon walk into a bar.
The bartender asks the Blenny what brings them in today to which the Blenny responds: "I felt like a drink after mowing my lawn." So then the bartender turns to the Dragon and the Engineer before asking them the same question to which they respond: "Sometimes you want to goby where everybody knows your name."

You asked for it. I'll let myself out. :p
Wish I could click both love this comment and laugh 😂 !

I can’t even believe you came up with that on a whim. Bravo!!! 👏

And then there were 2.

Going to rotate these to maximize the media life. Pulls either fresh outside air or when the PH drops below 8.3 switches to pulling outside air through both of these CO2 scrubbers. 3 way motorized ball valve controlled by the Apex dictates which path the air takes.

Just curious, where did you source the 3 way ball valve?

Amazon. Link above. Went with the 3/4" because they are not full bore. Reduced 3/4 to 1/2 with PVC, then 1/2 to 3/8 barb.

Watch the brass fittings. Mine corroded pretty bad inside.

If you can route the air out of the skimmer through a locker creating a closed loop the media will last a longer time.

The brass fittings are just passing outside air before it goes to the CO2 scrubbers the way I have it routed. Did you find it reacting with just moisture from outside air?

I have for the moment opted not to recirculate the air through the skimmer. Wouldn't be difficult but if the media got wet from the skimmer overflowing it would dump back into the tank. I have a sensor to cut power to the skimmer if the cup level gets too high. Still on the first batch of media. I may try recirculating it later but for the moment the present setup is working well.
