Random pic of the day thread

The brass fittings are just passing outside air before it goes to the CO2 scrubbers the way I have it routed. Did you find it reacting with just moisture from outside air?
Mine started out that way, but I'd started recycling the air from the skimmer. They were far enough away and there was a 24v solenoid that isolated that part of the system which was used to pull fresh air into the unit a couple times a day. Not exactly sure what caused the corrosion, it was pretty bad. Enough that I'd worry about particles coming off and getting sucked into the skimmer.

I'd recommend to keep it in the rotation of things to check. Might be nothing but if you see it corroding look for something plastic.

Egg crate frag rack V2, taller legs. Added the ceramic feet ahead of time for this one before it gets wet. Going in next to the first one tomorrow.

Amazon. Link above. Went with the 3/4" because they are not full bore. Reduced 3/4 to 1/2 with PVC, then 1/2 to 3/8 barb.

I was just thinking about setting this up my self. How did you wire it up for power?

There are 5 wires on the ball valve if I recall correctly but you only need 2 to make it work. The others are for LEDs if you want position feedback for the ball valve. I used a Neptune brand 2 wire 24v accessory cable. They're around $10. There's a default position (no power), and when you apply 24v it rotates to the other position. Remove the power and it switches back using energy stored in the ball valve. I like this more than a solenoid. A virtual outlet in the Apex software turns that accessory port on or off based on the reading from the PH probe.

Sitting here just watching.... Lazy 4th.
