Hello everyone, I just picked up a 4 stage Aquatic Life Rodi. I followed all the instructions for set up, water is coming out of the membrane at about 5 tds, and 0 from the DI resin. My issue is that the output is astonishingly slow. I bought the 100 gpd version and it made only 1 gallon in an hour. Originally I had low water pressure (30 psi) I installed a booster pump and the gauge shows 60-65 which is what the instructions say is ideal. For the life of me I can’t figure out what would slow the production so much and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for trouble shooting?

Look for a gate valve on it. Might have to flush it. Or you install the GPD valve incorrectly or they sent you wrong one.

Both of those came pre installed, I can try disconnecting and reconnecting them to see if they aren’t seated correctly.

Looks like
Any other ideas? That does not seem to be the issue, I also looked up a couple videos and it seems to be set up correctly. It’s still producing about 1 gallon per hour. This might be a stupid question, but the 100 gpd can’t possibly include waste water too right? Because with the 1-3 ratio that would put it just about at 100 gallons per day.

How much waste water is being produced? If it seems excessive, might be a wrong install

Just tested it, and I have filled a 5 gallon bucket with waste water in about 20 minutes, and half less than half a gallon of good water. Something is definitely wrong.

The member might be a wrong GPD. Turn the valve until you get to 1 TDS on output, than slowly reduce it to it reads 0. Something is still wrong and but it’ll give you usable water at a decent rate until you can figure out install.

Most likely someone put a 50-75GPD member and a 150GDP vavlcw

I’ve been in contact with customer support. After some measurements, he has confirmed the waste flow restrictor is working properly. He seems to agree that the production side is working very slowly and is shipping me a new membrane. Hopefully that’s the issue, does this happen often? Seems weird for a brand new membrane to be janky out of the box.
