So far my melanarus wrasse has had a great appetite. It immediately ate pellets, flakes, and free dried cyclopeeze after being placed in my tank a few weeks ago. I initially picked it up because I had a flatworm problem, which is not a problem any more. I have noticed the wrasse will go after over turned snails, which I expected, but thankfully hasn't gone for my hermits. The other day i saw it picking at something fleshy on the rocks and figured it nailed a large pod or something. Well just a few minutes ago I noticed it's mouth looked weird and noticed it rubbing its face on some rock, my mind immediately thought something was wrong. I watched it for a few minutes and it was acting odd and I thought it got stung by something on the mouth. Suddenly it spit whatever was partially in it's mouth out, it was an asterna star. It grabbed the star again shook it a few more times and tore it to pieces gobbling up every last piece of the star. I feed him daily, on a feeder, along with my clown. This guy is just that big of a pig i guess. Anyways I guess I was just surprised to see him eating asternas but it's not a bad thing, at least it's eating, fat, and happy :yay:
