Is it better to have a hand held tds meter or a inline tds meter..it seems to me the hand held ones you can measure more sources of water....

Hand held meter is definitely more versatile. However, an inline TDS incorporated into an RO/DI system is valuable to monitor performance of RO membrane and DI resin when a dual meter is placed between the RO membrane and DI resin stage, and one after the DI resin stage. AN inline meter is also less prone to contaminates when used, making the reading more accurate.

Both, you can get a free tds meter with airwaterandice if you expend over 40 bucks, don't know if that's just a member benefits, but I really have a great experience with them and I want to share my opinion. For my RO-DI, inline and handheld TDS meter won't hurt
