well since my tanks going to be an lps/softie only tank for a longggg while im not going to be getting a kalk or calcium reactor and im just going to stick to dosing the good ol BRS stuff. soooo ive always herd that BRS's dosing pumps work grest and just hook up to a timer and adjust accordingly.. well seeing that im still only about a year into the salt scene i didnt even realize they made these;

that particular one looks to be really nice anyone have any input?

I don't have any experience with that unit, but the flow rate is 60ml/min which is too much for most of our tanks at least for dosing alk. It says it can do as little a 1ml at a time which is one second so maybe it would work ok. The 1.1ml/min pumps work better for alkalinity in my opinion.

Mine do 24 ml/min which is fine because I dose about 150ml a day. But you can program those to dose whatever you want, and if you need to fine tune it you can always dilute the alk mixture.

But yes, as long as you can program them to dose exactly what you need, they work great. Ive been dosing 3 part out of 5 gallon buckets and I dont do anything but feed the fish and clean the glass for months at a time.
