I have an AquaUV 15w that has 3/4 barbs on it...the pump i have has 5/8 barbs on it...is there a converter of some sort for rubber hosing that can convert this....could u get it at someplace like home depot..i tried googling it but it seems like all the converters are metal...like for copper pipes and stuff

There has to be! Maybe you could take the pump and UV to homedepot and let someone help you!

They have them at Home Depot but I don't remember for sure that they have that size. They are usually found just to the right of the Watts connector display and are a dark gray like schedule 40 PVC fittings.

If you have a small piece of 5/8" tubing, go ahead and attach it to the pump (the outside diameter of most 5/8" flexible tubing is 3/4"), then cut it off just over the barb of the pump. Then fit the 3/4" tubing over it and snug it up with one of those plastic hose clamps. Then you can just use 3/4" tubing for the remainder of your plumbing.

Pictures? I am sure the 3/4 barbs are detachable. I just don't see the justification in having such a large barb for something that is only 15w. For the UV to be effective, you have to have the right flow into it. If they are detachable, I am sure you can buy the proper sizes at homedepot. They usually are 1/2 NPT pipe threads.
