Vortech vs Tunze

i realize this is an old argument that has been beat into the ground, but honestly, I'm tired of the noise my vortechs make. They aren't louder than they should be, but my tank is in the living room so you can see where 2 of them on reefcrest can be annoying.

For this reason I'm considering changing over to tunze. I had one a LONG time ago, and realize it takes up more inside real estate, but to get rid of that blasted buzz it may be worth it.

I have a 125, 6' long and two mp40s on reef crest.. one is about 2 years old and needs a new wet side.. possibly a dry side but i doubt it.. any way its a bit loud but bearable... and guess where they are at? my room about a foot from my bed.. so keep em.. i got better growth out of the vortechs than i did my tunze in 3 years i had the tank running

You should buy some tunzes and give me the vortechs

Tunze all the way, No comparison. (Tunze are quiet) The new style is not as big as the old ones.

I have both, and agree that the Tunze's are quieter.
