What is this beown dust

Its back. heater in sump is covered, bottom of sump looks pretty bad too. I have a 65 g tank with 2 clowns, pajama, watchmen, 6 line, and fire. These fish cant be pooping that much.

Simmer is skimming and I alternate the filter sock usage.

Last water change I vacuumed the remaining areas, could this be the result?

Any suggestions?

What your seeing is what was clouding your water, it has found a spot to settle. Just keep vacuuming a little bit every water change. Also playing on what Jenn said, The API test kits are really a ball park figure. But in my opinion, at the end of the day they get the job done good enough for me. That being said, I trust what Jenn says, she has been doing this for at least a week or two, haha.

How much water are you changing at a time and how often?

What are your current parameters?

Are you using RO/DI water?

hey

change water about every 10 days.. 10 gallons at a time, yes I use RO/DI.

My magnesium is a bit high, but everything is near perfect. I have been testing this almost daily since I just added some new corals and the 6 line.
