Will Leather or Zoanthid Hurt Each Other?

I was given a rock that had about 7 zoanthid heads and a leather frag only about 3 inches apart. The Zoas have spread now and are only about two inches away from the leather's base. Should I be trying to prevent this? The rock is a good solid piece, not too easy to just break a chunk off of.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks

I don't think there should be a problem, just make sure the zoas don't start growing up the stalk of the leather. Also make sure the leather is tall enough to keep the tentacles from touching the zoas.

Are they zoas or palys? It does make a difference. For instance some pink palys will overtake just about anything. And Protopalys are even more aggressive.

Oh, now you gotta go getting all technical on us. Not sure I could identify a protopaly if my life depended on it.
