Added a cleaner shrimp today. Within a minute, my fish dang near formed a line to wait for its services. It definitely adds a cool factor to the tank.

I can't believe the fish automatically knew what to do. This is easier than training a cat to use the cat litter box.

yeah i have always loved skunk cleaners. They are great. They will even try to clean your hand if you let them. They will hop on and just start picking away. Mine died the other day for some reason :( Ill probably get a fire shrimp instead of a skunk this time.

Just a heads up, IME the Fire shrimps if not in a big enough tank they will kill the other shrimps. Mine took down 2 peps and 2 cleaners before I caught it.

I have a fire and cleaner and the fire stays hidden 99% of the
Time. The cleaner is always out

+1 to fire/blood shrimps hiding most of the time.

Mine's starting to come out more, mostly at feeding time but at least it roves the entire tank when it does. And it doesn't appear to be scared of light, so as it grows it may roam around more.

They're beautiful and it's fun to watch it move around scrambling after food, but if I was stocking this over again, I'd choose the skunk.

Well, my cleaner has disappeared :-(. I'm hoping that he is molting somewhere. Haven't seen it since Thursday. Would a nem eat it?

I suppose it COULD... but mine go into my RBTA to steal food from it. Well, at least they did back when I fed the RBTA.
