Yes Sir, I've seen those guys do some things with Whirly Birds that should have never even been thought of much less attempted..
OK Back on topic, so since it's OK to use the sand, I should Be able to get this thing up and running tonight then. Tell me if this is true, don't remember where I read it but on some forum i read that idf you through a raw Uncooked shrimp into your tank and basically let it wither away, that will drasticly decrease your cycle time. Anyone heard of this?

i have heard putting hermits can cycle a tank but not sure it will work?
I've heard various things, From the Shrimp to Hermits, even to Throwing a Damsel of some sort in there as you would with Freshwater and a Goldfish, this sounds like the best way, but I really don't feel like having to fish that Damsel out once the Cycles done cause I def don't want one of those in there.

I know I said I don't want one of those guys in there, but does anybody have a link or know where I can check out the diffrent types of Damsels, I know a Clown is considered in the Damsel Family, and the Wife will make me get one of these guys so should I just start with one.

hey if you go to any petland(i go to the one in duluth) they have different damels and they are pretty cheap if you decide to trade or have to give for free.
I used to visit that Petland in Duluth often, and I do remember them having some nice things, but that was before the Saltwater bug bit me.
There's actually a LFS less than a Minute from my house, it used to be called Ocean Treasures but I think they changed owners or something and the name changed, last I heard they were actually linked with one of the stores in Athens. I need to talk to those guys about becoming a Sponser on here, cause that 10% would really help..

Hello All! Been awhile since I've updated my post on here and now I've got some more Q's. Well for one I think my cucle has gone great so far. I have Brown spots everywhere on my rock, sand, and even the back wall of the tank. This is Diatoms right? I know I need pics and they will definately be on here tommorrow. I have also started to notice a green algae starting to grow, I hope to god this is not the dreaded hair algae everyone speaks of. I'll be sure to get some pictures of it tonight. I'm also gonna get my water tested tonight, I did a water change this weekend and now I just need to see where everything stands.
