Hi I got home from work yesterday to see brown algae on my blue acro. It's in high light at top of tank with high flow.
The polyps don't come out anymore I've noticed. Not sure if that's good or not I'm guessing not but not sure.

if high flow is directing on the tips, you see the algae. It happens to my sps specially the tort

how far is the powerhead from sps? if it is too close, don't point the flow directly to sps or turn down the flow a bit. If not, check your water parameters.

I didn't want to be the one that said it, and maybe the photo is just funny looking, but that looks like a dead acro to me.

I would lean more towards camera trickery than dead. If there's algae on the tips, good chance the tissue under it is dead.

Ya - the blue tint is almost certainly a reflection from your lights.

What test kits did you use to get all these readings , they look too perfect IMO I can't get true zero readings with carbon dosing using Hannah and red sea low range kits.
