Building T5 Canopy today.

8. I think that will be all I can fit if I put the fans inside the canopy.


Primed and painted it today. I will see about pics tomorrow.

Update:

I finished priming and painting. The finish turned out pretty good, IMO. Not perfect, but it matches the stand well, and the flaws are only visible upon close inspection. It took 1 coat of gray primer and a out 3 coats of latex semi gloss black to finish. I sanded in between with 150.

I then installed some black plastic mosquito netting to seal the inside from jumpers. Finally, I added the 6 3" case fans for cooling. Next will be adding the T5 lights and wiing it all up.

Just diggin up some old DIY threads. I may want put together some T-5's like this, but dont know much about it.

Where do you get all the hardware, end caps and balastsss and stuff?

I got my endcaps and reflectors from Champion Lighting since the store I worked at got them for cheaper, but the ballasts I got used from people on RC. The ballasts usually include the harness and such.

The other hardware was just picked up from ACE, and I used stainless wherever I could for rust resistance.
