Chapter 1: IM Nuvo40

I have one that thinks its an explorer. Found it up on glass, top of rock work and all over. You name it he has explored.

Algaebarn sent replacement clams yesterday.
One died after acclimation and the other seems to be holding on. I’m not filing another DOA claim on the one that died...I’ll just chalk it up in the loss column.

Algaebarn has phenomenal customer service but their clams are not wysiwyg so I probably will not be ordering any more clams from them.

The ultras they sent are pretty drab. No mandarin-esque patterns...just splotches of white.

Fingers crossed that the one remaining clam makes it.

Here’s the sole surviving crocea from algaebarn.
This is their tiny ultra grade.

I know right....ultra my buttocks

Amazeballs and glitterbomb goni aren't doing great. They just seem to be slowly melting.
So right now about 8 of the 12ish gonis in the tank are doing well. There's 4 or 5 that are having issues.
I've just starting dosing manganese and strontium to see if it makes any difference.

Beyond these few particular gonis - everything else seems to be doing well.

I've got 5 acro frags in there that are doing well and encrusting - garf, wd, tricolor, asd rainbow and pretty in pink.

I've been eyeing some more clams - some croceas from biota and a blue squammy from austin aqua farms.

The price tag on the tiny 3" blue squammy ($300) is really what is stopping me. Actually, the price isn't the deterrent - its the survivability...I don't want to flush $300 down the crapper.

The Croceas from Biota are really neat too but I think they'll be deceptively small about 2"

So my big crocea has been showing signs of pinched mantle disease. There’s so much conflicting info out there regarding this. After much debate I settled on doing a freshwater dip.
It’s actually difficult to figure out what PMD looks like but basically the mantle is fully extended except for one part which looks pinched.
