Chapter 2: 50g Lowboy LPS

Not running yet...it takes me a million years to make RODI water...the tank is about halfway full

Cripes, this thing evaporates a shit ton of water...I've been previously spoiled by my tiny 40gal cube DT.

I use an ato on my tank and refill the ato reservoir with water change.

Zoas have been open all week and looking good until I put in a bag of carbon and half of them closed.
So I took the carbon out.

Some updates
I’ve added more rock. I read somewhere that frags grow better on rocks than plugs. I’m not sure but I’ll try it out plus I added some fish - a yellow and kole tang. Between the wrasse and the yellow, the kole may be too passive for this tank. He’s not getting beat up...just a little timid.

It seems like it...I'm having to make a lot more RODI water now.
I can't imagine what the guys with 180gal+tanks are doing
Run the ato line straight to my 75 gallon reservoir!!! I've never tracked the evaporation but I've been thinking i should soon just to see how much it actually does evaporate!

It seems like these types of frag tanks evap more water due to the surface area and being uncovered

Looking good my friend, how's our buddy doing?
He's a beast but friendly...he's hunting for food all day, lol.
We decided to keep him in the frag tank so that he has more space to zip around plus he's good buddies with the yellow tang.
