So why do you advertise you give club members 10 percent discount. And when we visit your store yo tell us you don't discount for club members? This is poor service
 
Picked up some coral frags nothing on sale. They rang them up when I asked if he gave the discount for club members. He said that he didn't he wasn't like all the other fish stores around and his margins were to low to give any discount. and yes it was the owner that waited on me shac. I understand margins are tight in any business I even paid with cash so he had no credit card fees. I just believe if your going to say you give a discount on your site you should honor it. it was an 80 dollar purchase. 8 dollars won't kill me its just the principal of it. I have had great service and products from other sponsors. And if it's on sale or the discount doesn't apply such as map priced items. I understand and it's my decision I'd I want to shop there. I just know I won't go back to this sponsor nor will I recommend any one I know to drive out of there way to visit his store. I have made it a point to drive to different sponsors stores and this is the worst one I have visited yet

I am trying to understand your situation and why it is poor customer service. I, as well as, many others have shopped at Reef Shac for quite some time. His prices are way lower than most stores in the area which is why he said his margins are low so no reason to discount it because it exceeds the 10% discount. Would you rather for him to hike the price and then add the 10% for you? You stated its the principle of adding the discount rather than you really needed the $8 off, but it seems the $8 off really bothered you. How many corals and/or fish did you get with your $80? Was it worth the $80? If I was displeased with a pricing, I simply wouldn't buy it.

Your small review is similar to me going to restaurants during a lunch special and demanding my military discount additionally. Just my 2 cents after reading.
 
It was about principle? Then why did you even ask for a discount? Typically " regular", " good" customers don't ask for discounts. I, only shop at one store. Why? well it is convenient for me, being just a half mile from work(If that). But it is also because I love the company and the time I have when I am in Bills store. His store is like "The good ole' boys store" to me. I never ask him for a discount... Because I genuinely care about his business and his family. Even though he always hooks me upon stuff. I remember when I worked with Chris H in his store, we would have people come in for their first time ever, wanting a big discount on an item. And all it was, was someone trying to get something for nothing and never to be seen again. I remember people everyday would come in saying " Man I want to trade jobs with you" or " It must be awesome owning a store" Most of them do not have the first clue as to what goes into running a store.Just my two cents.
