Hello,

I have an idaho grape monti that is starting to get white around the edges? Not sure what is going on, all the other corals are doing great. Birdsnest, pink lemonade, frogspawn, hammer, torch, zoas, etc

Water params are good. Not sure if my a150w is too much for the monti or not enough. Currently upgrading to two a350w's for a rr 90 gallon

Montis turning white around the edges is just new growth. Unless it's turning really</em> white.

Agreed, white edges are a good thing. If the middle of the coral is bleaching (the area around the polyps), then that means that the coral is in distress.

If you have an opportunity, take a quick picture and put it online.

It's all around the edges so that is good news. Will try to snap a pic tonight. Thanks!

Just so you know, that is a pretty, but evil coral. It can get out of hand and grow like a weed, growing over acroporas and crowding out about anything in its path.

Many encrusting Montis are nice in the beginning, but can become nuisances after a time .
