Yes Premier Aquatics has it.Did you get the reef flux locally?
I've had the best luck with conductivity probes being in a high flow area with NO bubbles of any kind. For me that was in the bubble trap portion of the sump. I also like to give all probes a light brushing every couple weeks. If you see a wonky reading on salinity lift the probe holder slightly not removing the probes from the water and give it a little shake to dislodge and bubbles.Sadly bad news to report today. I had some die off recently- my red planet which I attributed to coral warfare. But this morning woke up to my green pociliporas bleaching out and a couple of montis also whiting out. Double checked my parameters and my salt was up to 1.027. So, since I had to do a massive water change anyways because of reef flux, I went ahead and corrected everything. My APEX salinity probe has never worked- despite 3 replacements and 2 APEX units. They all start off perfect and go south super quick. I have a great Hannah checker that is always spot on, I just did not monitor closely lately. That will teach me. And now O know certain corals are more susceptible to bleaching from the reef flux when it hits low flow areas.
So, my salinity via Hannah checker is exactly 1.026 in my system. I usually like it a little lower, but everything is happy now, so it’s good. My APEX probe is in a spot of high flow no bubbles. I will try brushing it more often to see if that helps. But it is so out of wack now and never stays in line that I would rather a more consistent probe to use in my system. I have had APEX salt probes for the last few years in multiple systems and they never seem to hold calibration or measures for meI've had the best luck with conductivity probes being in a high flow area with NO bubbles of any kind. Whenever I make a batch of salt water I check the system salinity. I've caught things I would have missed doing that.
Best of luck getting things recovering!
Awesome job!We have two tanks. After a multi- decade break from the hobby, my daughter convinced me to start back up. We have a RedSeaReefer 250 mixed reef and a nano do-it-yourself softie setup.
Thank you!Awesome job!
Thank you!You got some awesome tanks! Glad the bounce is doing so well.
