My kitchen tanks

Ecotech came through and returned a new AI prime to replace the malfunctioning one I had as well as the new dry side for the MP40 and two mobius chips to replace the RF chips I had in two units. Hooked the extra AI prime over the pest tank to add some light to far end of tank. Not the prettiest set up, but it works and is in the fish room, so no one sees it anyways :)

What happened to the dry side of the mp40?

What happened to the dry side of the mp40?
It was making a slight humming annoying noise and every once in a while the wet side would fall off. Finally got tired of fishing it out of the tank and called Ecotech. Since I had already gone through the trouble of replacing the wetside, they gave me an RMA and had me ship the dry side back to them. Sure enough the balance was off like I had said, and they gave me a new dry side.

Wow those are big.
Any idea how much calcium and/or alk they are consuming?
So, my system is about 300 gallons of shared water and I run a high dK and dose All for Reef DIY. So far no drop in alk or calcium noted on trident readings and everything steady - keeping my fingers crossed :) I have noted my coralline is not bothering me as much, so the clams are probably utilizing faster than the algae :).

How are the clams doing? I've been through a few of clammania's live sales, but haven't pulled the trigger on any yet.

Those clams are beautiful! If you don't mind me asking Where did you get them from?

So one is still living. The others died. I know my system is stable and my other clam has been with us a long time in same system. The shopping trip definitely affects them and makes them super vulnerable.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I've sat through 3 of their live sales...I've been eyeing their blue squamosas but the way they set up their live sales its just difficult. And the owner gets a little "crabby" when things aren't moving, lol.
Thanks for the update and again, I'm sorry about your clams

The owner is very nice but definitely has a sales mentality if things move slow. But he does try to make things right.

Did a water change and cleaning in the main system, foolishly forgot the anemone was on a rock and stung the xxxxxxxx out of my wrist as I was siphoning :(
At least I got a nice top down view as I screamed in pain.......

Are you ok? Did it leave a rash or mark?
I've brushed against my nem before but nothing happened....just slimy.
The only thing that stings me in the tank is my idiot clownfish.
