Thank you. Sorry one other question, did you both glue and screw the joint or is glue enough.

For the frame we glued & screwed, for the canopy just screwed it together
 
Ok. Was thinking id need to do both on the frame.

Yea just for extra...sturdiness and strength that's what we did, you could always add a few just to the corners if you felt more..safe with doing that :) Welcome.
 
Done correctly, the glue is what gives all of the bonding power. However, screws will help pull the materials together tightly to help the glue bond completely. The key is to have enough glue and to spread it completely over both surfaces before you put the surfaces together. With the right clamps, you could do without the screws entirely but it is a bit of insurance. It is just hard to hide them sometimes.

For lights, used 2 Coralife 24" fixtures, gutted them. Mounted reflectors and lights to top, mounted ballasts & stuff on back of canopy. Drilled air holes & holes for 4 fans.
