My wrasse has took a turn for the worse. Im not sure whats wrong or what to do. It has a blue line along the bottom of his belly. He isnt swimming. Just laying around, he was no problem to catch, he didnt even try to get away. My qt isnt quite ready for him yet so he is floating in a bag. If anyone can help please let me know. I doubt he'll make it through the night without immediate care... Im in stockbridge and will trade you whatever you want if you can come help....

its impossible to know without seeing him but from what you described it seems like hes already past the point of no return. and keeping him in the bag with no waterflow and filtration wont help him any either.

Today i checked everything but mag. Everything was where it normally is. I have 2 clowns, 2 blennies, an anthias and a molly, But no one has bullied him. Im pretty sure he's done. He'll probably be gone before i got o bed tonight :( I didnt even have him long enough to name him
I let him back in the tank, he is just laying in the sand outnin the open

they told me to bring him up there but i was too far away to make it before they closed and i'll have to go in the morning

the other fish i bought are all great. and they're from the bbq shipment

I just want to be clear. I was never insinuating or trying to cause any trouble and bad rep for the fish store. I shop there alot. All my other fish are healthy and active. This particulr fish just may have gotten sick just before i got it. I got it 2 days after the bbq

Yea, we get that Mystery loves SEA and all, but keep it to that. Stop insulting other stores and acting like every store should practice the same procedures. If you feel so strongly about it, open your own store and show everyone how it's done. Not every store has a massive budget.

Sorry, been lurking, but the pot-shots get old after a while. Really bad taste.

No worries. You are fine. Sorry for your loss.

This hobby has it's ups and downs - hopefully the ups outweigh the downs.

No, it's not OK. That why I said something. It's not just this thread, he does it all the time. We should support our sponsors, not tear them down. They work as hard as they can to provide the best they can. It's an unbelievably hard business to run, and the last thing any LFS needs is people bad mouthing them among their community without trying to resolve it behind closed doors.

I meant your post was ok. lol And honestly i never wanted to say where i got it from but someone asked. Otherwise i'd never had mentioned it and now i wish i.hadnt. that was never the point of my posts. The store it came from is irrelevant/

Also, sorry for the rants. But on-topic, sometimes fish just die. Especially wrasses. Sometimes no one is to blame. It happens. Some fish acclimate well to captivity, some don't. I wouldn't blame anyone, sounds like your tank and other fish are doing well, so it's likely just bad luck. Sorry to hear about it, Wrasses are amazing fish. Don't beat yourself up too bad.
