Reefkeeper PC4 Questions

I do not know. I sent the one I have to DA and they said they can not be rebuilt, and they sent it back to me. I have never looked inside one.

I just got an email from DA and they said: "As for the PC4, the blinking yellow means that it is in "manual" mode (meaning that the channels can only be controlled by actually pressing the buttons on your PC4). If this is happening while your whole system is connected, it means that the PC4 is not being controlled by the head unit - likely due to an issue with the cable connection. This would probably also mean that we need to service the head unit."

Not sure why they say that it's the head unit when I've put two different ones on it and get the same results. Unfortunately, now I don't have a spare RKL to test with it.

Does everything else work with the head unit? Do you have 1 more PC4 to test if it works? If other things like PC4, MLC, ALC, SL1, SL2 etc if they all work the head unit is good.

I don't know. I don't have another PC4 to check it with (well I have 3 others but they are in use with the Elite). I plugged the "bad" PC4 in to my Elite last night and it shut down the entire system. When I unplugged it, everything came back online. Thought that was a little weird.

Anyway...good news is, I got the MLC updated and plugged up last night so that's working awesome! Now the final piece of hardware is to get the Net module online. Then all I have left is to go back through the PC4s and rename everything. Woohoooo!! Having fun now! LOL

That's what I'm thinking too. I don't know if they can be rebuilt or if it's even worth it.

Bruce...thanks a lot for all your input! It's been a BIG help!
