Call Jenn, she had a great deal when I filled the 120 for this type sand.

I used that too, I just picked up 2 bags from Rit, he was selling the Live Sand version for a buck a pound.

Thanks for the input guys and i guess theres only one route to go, ha...

A little late to the party but I used pink Fiji.

Of course as you already know I'm dealing with sand particles floating in the tank constantly. If I added about a half inch layer on top of he other sand would that work or would I need to removed the Fiji? I love the color of it I just don't like particles floating all over the place

I use special grade as well. I really like the fact that the pieces of sand are larger, so there arent as many sand storms, and Powerhead placement isnt as finniky, yet is still small enough to be sifted by a 2" Goby. Good stuff IMO.

The bigger pieces would end up at the bottom... so you'dhave a sandstorm again once the fiji was on top.

How new is your setup? Sometimes it just needs the bacteria to build up on it to keep in more stationary.

Just added last week I noticed either out rodi rock or sand I'm still after a week vetting bubbles floating up

Yeah its still new, obviously, and will blow around for a bit. unless you're using vortechs or some crazy high powerhead for flow in your tank, it should settle out.
