Hmm, I stopped checkin mine becausae it was always dead on. Maybe I'll start checking it every once in a while.

To be honest the only thing I havent been checking is my calcium. If I can see growth in my gigas than I know its in there lol.

Slow is the key word here. My system is around 180 total and I am dosing 1.5ml daily. It took several weeks to get it up to that and several weeks to see any difference on the coloration of my SPS but wow what a difference it has made. And when you clean that skimmate out it will clear the room. The only hard part now is remembering to do it every day. I thought about getting a doser but with something that can easily crash my system like this can I prefer to do it manually.

That is why I stopped. I cannot commit to my tank that much.

Yeah I can understand that. Usually one of us is here so I can get my wife to dose it. I have missed a day and then just dose at regular levels the next day but if I were to go several days without then I would probably start over again.

Ok here are some pictures starting today and I will keep weekly updates. Also a picture of the skimmate just two hrs after the 1st vodka dose. mI cleaned the skimmer real well before the dose.

Thanks man. On my second day of dosing and I already see a difference in the skimmate. Its more frothy than normal.

I have been using Grey Goose only becuase there just about 2 shots left.

I have dosed 3 times now and can see a difference in the skimmate. Its very frothy and stays that way even when I feed, which never happens. I have a very large collection container that is about 8" side to side and 14" tall. I have filled 3.5" since I started dosing. The normal is about 3" a week so theres a huge difference there. Im skimming kinda wet like normal but the froth is amazing. Kinda like I got a new skimmer.

I am starting my 4th day and double the dose tonight. I dose after work about 12am when everything is asleep. Hopefully keeping any stress down on fish. I will post some pictures in the next couple of days.

I have to say he's doing great the fat pig he is. He eats right out of my hand and will follow you back and fourth at the glass. I thought he might be a little crazy maybe breaking some coral if he's startled, but he's very calm.

make sure it's grain vodka, not potatoe. not sure if it would matter, who knows?
