Picked up some t5 retrofit from @Jayo , but I wanted to use the euroquatics led bulbs. Unfortunately the fixture t5s had the bulbs angled at a 45degree angle out from center, which would be okay if you’re using a standard t5, but the LED t5s were a single direction.

So, I had to removed the old end caps, bought some generic ones from Amazon. I went with non-waterproof ones because I need it more narrow to fit on the fixture itself. I run my lights 18” off the water in open air, so I don’t think it will be an issue. I’ll inspect it in a few months to confirm.

Meanwhile, the endcaps of the fixture were steel vs the body was aluminum so there was a lot of rust. I had to sand it down and paint it.

In the end, lights turned out great. I’ll get it mounted later this week. I’ll get some aluminum flat bars and cut it to length as needed.

Looks Dope, glad you were able to use them in your build.

So, full week of dosing 1/4 tsp of sodium nitrate and got my nitrates up to 10.8. So, now I’ll cut off dosing and wait 3 days and test to see how much it drops to adjust dosage.

I’m hoping some corals that lost color start to get their color back.

On a positive note, growth is just insane!

That looks great! I am dealing with aiptasia right now in all my tanks. I have dumped in nudibranchs and peppermint shrimp but so far no improvement. I am tempted to do what you did here and start over.

Well, if you dumped in nudis, I hear they take time. So, just be patient with it and see how it goes. I ended up with aiptasia in this tank as well, not even sure how. I started with all dry rock, cut every frag off the plug. I scrubbed the skeletons of my LPS with peroxide. It's just mind boggling.

I'm pretty much convinced that aiptasia can spread through water. I have them in every single one of my tanks, even though I started two of them with full dry everything and haven't transplanted anything between the tanks besides drips of water.

I am so frustrated because I took every precaution possible to prevent them and still ended up having them.

I hate to hear that. I know the pain of dealing with aiptasia. I had none in my tank for the first year and a half. Now I spend an hour each week going to each tank and killing them.
