I have observed this in lps before white stringy material its from a fish niping the coral it should be gone in a day or so nothing to stress out about

No fish that I have would even think about coral..

Looks like innards to me. Sometimes certain corals expel their digestive innards(not always nessesarily from the "mouth"). How long have you noticed this?

Edit: I have a few sps that do that when stimulated by feeding or parameter change.

another great suggestion.....hummmm....about 2 weeks..

Hmmm. If it has been present for 2-3 weeks, i would think that if it were eggs, they would have probably hatched by now. If the coral was extruding it's guts, it would not do it 24/7. If it were only observed at night, that may be understandabe (feed time). Is there any new coral or other stinging invertebrate close to the effected coral?
