Got the sump cleaned up a little bit!
Other tank here, can full of rock, ended up finding 3 black box leds that worked.. tons of other stuff..

Cleaned the RO out, cleaned the DI canister, gfo/carbon reactor and what appears to be a small Kalk reactor (which I don't need. I have a 2' mrc reactor. Which I also don't need)
Got a friend of mine, guy I consider a brother is mailing me a MP10 for a shallow tank that's coming next.
So, mp10 came today..
I swear I hate vortech pumps, but love them at the same time. So now, I have to order 2 wetsides for the 40's and one for the 10..
Still, $170 to replace all the wetsides and have 3 working vortechs is a good deal.
Going to start ordering all the schedule 80 fitting and get the plan in place to build the manifold for the reactor, fuge and auto water changes..

I don't know if I want a piece of black acrylic cut to completely do it, or just cut out that box and do another one that's less invasive..

If I had my way, I would redo the box and cut off that top glass.
So, my man got me all kinda hooked up today, got the new brain for the apex, first hookup took a few minutes for it to connect, I guess the EB8 had to reset itself.

Vinegar bath for some rock. Ignore how nasty the cans are. They were holding water for a year while.... Things happened. The rock is far worse than they are. This is the first run.
Plan and getting it halfway clean (debris and salt knocked off). Then I'm going to pull it all back out and see where we are. Clean everything up with a small brush and run it again with a higher concentration of vinegar and see where we are and go from there.
If I had to guess, I'm somewhere around 200lbs of rock.

Ok, so the cans beintso dirty was bothering me like you couldn't imagine.
Went and cleaned the cans, split the rock a little more evenly and water changed both. The water was a nice shade of "omg that's so nasty" brown..

Ok, so rock in a can and swirled around is taking a shower and sitting in dirty bathwater.
Took some of it out today and sprayed it all down.
Next step, going in a 40 gallon and going to run it with a mp10 going nuts to see what else I can get out of it. Then once I think it's "clean" I'm going to add the skimmer. (Pump should be here Friday). Then we work on making it "live rock" again.

Ordered a pump for the SWC.. of course the outlet is female thread where I need male thead.
After an hour at lowes (douglasville, don't ever go to that hellhole) I found fitting that will work. Or course it was to talk for the bubble plate to fit. So I cut the thread down a hair. Wouldn't you know it.. the thread starts waaaaay down in the outlet.
Hell with it. I will just run this euro reef. Yup, don't have fitting for it either and the outlet dumps right back on the pump since space is an issue.
Printed the return label, just going to send the pump back and buy a Sicce 1k.. it seems to be the right one.
Sidenote.. what kinda hardware store like lowe's doesn't have silicone 1?!?
