Feeler - Make me a better stand for the Cadlights Pro 39g

I'm buying a used Cadlights Pro 39g and I'm anticipating that the standard stand will leave a lot to be desired. Every thread I've seen about them seems to point to the stand being a POS. They do sell a hardwood stand that is a step up and has more positive reviews. Rather than immediately pull the trigger on that and probably still feel dissatisfied, who out there can build a more solid stand. Probably the only thing outside of overall stability that interests me is installing a couple fans.
