Why would that necessarily restrict them from being the same? Could they not use the same formula in Madison as the third party does?JennM;635581 wrote: You can find Salinity more economically priced. I've never seen (or sold) it for $90.
As for "tank crashing" or other stuff, I've seen somebody report just about every brand of salt will "cause" something. Might be the salt, might be user error but for every brand there's a horror story. Just sayin'.
And to Barry's bit about Salinity being Reef Salt with a batch analysis. Hmmm I don't know about that. The Reef Salt is packaged by a third party for Seachem. The Salinity is made in-house in the Madison, GA facility. I don't see how they could be "the same" because they aren't packaged in the same place.

I've never used Salinty, always use RC, but was considering switching. I have used several of their suppliments and thought that they were great. So I'm tagging along for insight.
Perhaps my eyes were cloudy when looking at the brute. It was late after all. I'll report back after a water change tonight.Acroholic;636069 wrote: I've had new Salinity water mixed up for a couple weeks in a brute container and it stays clear, at least IME. Funny, but I've never had any salt brand remain cloudy in RODI after the initial addition to the water.

Really? I may do that tonight than instead of doing a water change. I'll just push it off until Saturday.SuperClown;636081 wrote: I was having similar troble when I first started using salinity I upped the temp of my heater in my mixing container to 80 degrees and this helped the salt mix a lot faster

Well, truth be told, I may have had one or two adult beverages as well as it being late prior to looking into the brute. LOLAcroholic;636103 wrote: I have no doubt you had cloudy water if you say you did. My RODI is usally room temp when I add the salt. I use an Eheim 1260 for mixing.
Just funny how people's experiences with Salinity are all over the board.

My RODI stays under my kitchen sink so it should be room temp as well.
